Facebook’s new feature has been built by software developer Karma, which was acquired by FB in May.

Accenture Plc (NYSE: ACN) soared 7.11 % on Friday after the company reported late on Thursday better-than-expected bookings in the fiscal fourth quarter even as guidance for the upcoming fiscal bettered analysts’ expectations. Commenting over results and outlook on next fiscal, JP Morgan analysts said quarter can be considered as “solid” and “very strong bookings…should keep the stock in positive territory today, a victory in our view given high expectations going into results.”
ADTRAN Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTN) slumped 9.79 % after the company downwardly revised its guidance for fiscal third quarter. The company now anticipates revenue to come around $162 million. EPS on GAAP basis is expected to come within the range of 14-15 cents while EPS on NON-GAAP basis is expected to come in the range of 18-19 cents. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) slumped 2.09% on Friday after the Chief Executive, Tim Cook, for the first publicly issued an apology over inferior quality of new mobile mapping application. Mr. Cook acknowledged that fact that company has been severely criticized due to poor quality of its software. Users are annoyed by mapping application’s misplaced location markers and weird satellite images. Ever since Apple launched this application, some 100 million new and existing Apple users adopted iOS6 which substitutes Google’s Maps with Apple’s Maps.
Capital Trust Inc. (NYSE: CT) skyrocketed 20.45% amid high volume trading after Blackstone Group LP announced that it will be acquiring Capital Trust Inc. Blackstone will take hold of the management of CT Investment Management Co LLC and Capital Trust’s co-investment in the fund for $20 million. Blackstone will also invest another $10 million for the equity stake in the company, which Blackstone will manage itself.
Global Payments Inc. (NYSE: GPN) slumped 4.50% after the company reported 27% plunge in fiscal first quarter earnings as it continued to suffer from remediation charges associated to a security breach which occurred earlier this year.
