Micro-Caps on Watch; AMR Corp. (AAMRQ), Cereplast Inc. (CERP), Inova Technologies Inc. (INVA)

Shares of AMR Corp. (PINK: AAMRQ), the parent company of American Airlines, are climbing in trading today. At last check, AAMRQ shares were trading 5.99% higher at $3.89 on volume of 5.47 million. The stock hit an intra-day high of $3.90 earlier today.

AAMRQ, which filed for bankruptcy in November 2011, earlier this year, agreed to a merger with rival US Airways Group Inc. (NYSE: LCC).

Shares of Cereplast Inc. (PINK: CERP), a company focusing on the development and commercialization of bio-based resins, are soaring in trading today. At last check, CERP shares were trading 16.67% higher at $0.0315 on volume of 8 million.

CERP shares are gaining momentum after the company announced that it received orders in India. The company said that the Supreme Court of India is moving toward stronger legislation to control the country’s pollution problem. CERP has started receiving orders for Compostable 3002 for the manufacture of single-use bags. The company expects to receive more orders for this material in the near future.

Shares of Inova Technologies Inc. (PINK: INVA), a provider of information technology consulting services in the U.S., are seeing a huge rally in trading today. At last check, INVA shares were trading 69.44% higher at $0.0061 on above average volume of 24.29 million. The stock hit an intra-day high of $0.01 earlier today. INVA shares have gained nearly 230% in the last three trading sessions.

INVA shares are surging after the company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Desert Communications, announced that it has $900,000 of network solutions projects for Lowes.
