Micro-Caps in Focus; Speedemissions Inc. (SPMI), Fannie Mae (FNMA), Red Giant Entertainment Inc. (REDG)

Shares of Speedemissions Inc. (OTC: SPMI), a provider of vehicle emissions testing and safety inspection services in the U.S., are soaring in trading today. At last check, SPMI shares were trading 42.86% higher at $0.0100 on above average volume of 5.09 million. The stock touched an intra-day high of $0.02 earlier today. Despite the gains, SPMI shares have fallen more than 11.60% in the last three trading sessions.

SPMI, earlier this month, reported its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2012. The company’s revenue for 2012 stood at $8.321 million. The company reported a loss from operations of $534,549, and a net loss of $656,037, or $0.02 per share for the year ended December 31, 2012.

Shares of Fannie Mae (OTC: FNMA), a government-sponsored enterprise providing liquidity and stability in the secondary mortgage market, are up sharply in trading today. At last check, FNMA shares were trading 2.14% higher at $0.811 on volume of 6.45 million. The stock touched an intra-day high of $0.82 earlier today.

FNMA’s Economic & Strategic Research Group, earlier this week, said that recent data indicate that economic growth in the first quarter has accelerated to an above trend but likely unsustainable pace of 3.2%.

Shares of Red Giant Entertainment Inc. (PINK: REDG), a company specializing in Intellectual Property (IP) development for multiple media platforms and transmedia propagation, are rallying in trading today. At last check, REDG shares were trading 11.54% higher at $0.0116 on volume of 5.87 million.

REDG shares are gaining momentum after the company announced the timely filing of its audited results for the second quarter ended February 28th, 2013.
