Shares of World Moto Inc. (OTC: FARE), a manufacturer and supplier of taxi meters for the motorcycle taxi industry, soared in trading on Wednesday.
FARE shares ended the day 26.36% higher at $0.163 on above average volume of 28.40 million. The stock has gained 34.71% in the last three trading sessions.
FARE shares rallied in trading on Wednesday after the company announced the launch of a comprehensive roadmap to advance and professionalize the global taxi industry. Chris Ziomkowski, CTO of World Moto, said that the potential that the current motorcycle taxi fleets represent is enormous and the similarities of the industry to the early days of the internet cannot be ignored.
Shares of AMR Corporation (PINK: AAMRQ), the parent company of American Airlines, rose sharply in trading on Wednesday.
AAMRQ shares ended the day 5.18% higher at $0.810 on volume of 2.22 million. The stock hit an intra-day high of $0.82. Despite the gains on Wednesday, AAMRQ shares fell nearly 6% in the last three trading sessions.
Shares of Organovo Holdings Inc. (PINK: ONVO), a developer of three-dimensional bioprinting technology for creating functional human tissues on demand for research and medical applications, climbed in trading on Wednesday.
ONVO shares ended the day 3.18% higher at $2.27 on above average volume of 315,467. The stock hit an intra-day high of $2.33. ONVO gained more than 5% in the last three trading sessions.
Earlier this month, ONVO announced that it is working together with researchers at Autodesk Inc. to create the first 3D design software for bioprinting. Keith Murphy, Chairman and CEO of Organovo, said that Autodesk is an excellent partner for ONVO in developing new software for 3D bioprinters.
