Micro-Caps in Focus; Amarantus BioSciences Inc. (AMBS), Cannabis Science Inc. (CBIS), On4 Communications Inc. (ONCI)

Shares of Amarantus BioSciences Inc. (OTC: AMBS), a development-stage biotechnology company engaged in the discovery and development of therapeutic proteins and biologics for treatment of Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other human diseases, are marginally lower in trading today.

At last check, AMBS shares were trading 0.51% lower at $0.0390 on volume of 4.12 million. The stock has fallen more than 19% in the last three trading sessions.

AMBS shares have fallen sharply this week even as the company announced that the Opposition Division of the European Patent Office upheld its European patent relating to neurotrophic factor MANF, following opposition by rival Hermo Pharma OY of Finland.

Shares of Cannabis Science Inc. (PINK: CBIS), a development stage company engaged in the development, production and commercialization of phytocannabinoid-based pharmaceutical products, are marginally higher in trading today.

At last check, CBIS shares were trading 0.28% higher at $0.0715 on volume of 797,071. The stock has fallen more than 19% in the last three trading sessions.

According to a 10Q filing made by CBIS recently, the company did not generate any license revenue during the quarter ended September 30, 2012. This compares to license revenue of $62,044 reported for the same period in the previous year.

Shares of On4 Communications Inc. (PINK: ONCI), a development stage company providing wireless communications services to telecommunication companies, consumers and businesses, are seeing a huge rally in trading today.

At last check, ONCI shares were trading 58.06% higher at $0.0049 on above average volume of 8.96 million. The stock hit an intra-day high of $0.01 in trading today.

ONCI shares are soaring after the company announced that NetCents Systems Ltd. through its partnerships with banking institutions in Canada and the U.S. has begun integrating its proprietary online payment system with the U.S. banking system to process online payments in the U.S.
