Micro-Cap of the Day; Medinah Minerals Inc. (MDMN)

Shares of Medinah Minerals Inc. (PINK: MDMN), a junior mining exploration company engaged in the exploration and development of mineral properties primarily in South America, saw a huge rally in trading on Thursday.

MDMN shares ended the day 71.19% higher at $0.145 on above average volume of 15.79 million.

MDMN gains could have been due to some stock promotion activity as the company has not made any major announcements in the last few days.

According to a filing made by Medinah Minerals last month, the company had total revenue of $182,000 for the year-ended December 31, 2011, compared to $74,000 reported for the year ended December 31, 2010.

MDMN’s gross profit for the year ended December 31, 2011 was $145,000. The company had a net loss f $20,000 for the year ended December 31, 2011, down from $278,000 reported for the year ended December 31, 2010.
