Clean Diesel Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: CDTI), a vertically integrated global manufacturer and distributor of emissions control systems and products, today, announced the receipt of an expanded verification from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its innovative ECS-branded Purifilter® Plus diesel particulate filter (DPF) emission reduction system.
Purifilter Plus, which features Clean Diesel’s proprietary MPC® catalyst technology, is the only hybrid DPF system using both passive and active regeneration that the EPA has verified for employing in its engine retrofit programs.
Following the receipt of expanded verification, Purifilter Plus is now eligible for use in retrofitting of vast majority of 1994 to 2010 on-road vehicle exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and non-EGR engines.
CDTI shares ended marginally lower in trading today. The stock finished the day 1.62% lower at $2.43. Earlier in the day, the stock had risen to $3.21.
CDTI has fallen more than 13% this year.
