Major Movers on December 28; CPHD, AMD, HCA, GRPN, ARNA, FB, BAC, RIMM

At last check, GRPN shares were trading 1.82% lower at $4.77 on volume of 507,941. The stock fell to an intra-day low of $4.62 earlier today. Despite the losses today, GRPN shares have gained nearly 3.5% in the last three trading sessions.

Shares of Arena Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: ARNA), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development and commercialization of oral drugs that target G protein-coupled receptors in four therapeutic areas, have edged higher in early trading today.

At last check, ARNA shares were trading 1.66% higher at $8.94 on volume of 2.35 million. The stock hit an intra-day high of $9.04 in early trading today. ARNA shares have gained more than 2.5% in the last three trading sessions.

Shares of Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ: FB), the social networking giant, are down sharply in early trading today. At last check, FB shares were trading 2.50% lower at $25.40 on volume of 7.64 million. The stock hit an intra-day low of $25.15 in early trading today. FB shares have fallen more than 5% in the last three trading sessions.

Shares of Bank of America Corporation (NYSE: BAC), a financial institution serving individual consumers, small and middle market businesses, corporations and governments with a range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk management products and services, have slipped in early trading today.

At last check, BAC shares were trading 1.70% lower at $11.27 on volume of 20.51 million. The stock fell to an intra-day low of $11.28 earlier today.

Shares of Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ: RIMM), the maker of BlackBerry smartphones, are gaining in early trading today.

At last check, RIMM shares were trading 1.45% higher at $11.93 on volume of 4.35 million. The stock hit an intra-day high of $12.02 earlier today. RIMM shares have gained more than 12% in the last three trading sessions.
