ALU shares rallied in trading today after the company today announced that it entered into commitments with Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs Bank USA for euros 1.615 billion in senior secured credit facilities.

Shares of VeriFone Systems Inc. (NYSE: PAY), a provider of secured electronic payment solutions and services for the financial, retail, hospitality, petroleum, transportation, government and healthcare vertical markets, plunged in trading today.
PAY shares ended the day 10.92% lower at $29.60 on above average volume of 9.47 million. The stock hit an intra-day low of $29.04 in trading today.
PAY shares tumbled after the company reported its fourth-quarter financial results. For the quarter ended October 31, 2012, PAY reported non-GAAP net income of $0.76 per share, compared to $0.53 per share reported for the same period in the previous year. The company’s non-GAAP net revenue for the fourth quarter was $489 million, compared to $416 million reported for the same period in the previous year.
Douglas G. Bergeron, CEO of VeriFone Systems, said that the company’s investments in the next generation of payment services and systems are paying off in North America, which grew organically by 22% in the fourth quarter. Bergeron added that the company’s plans for 2013 are to replicate these investments in its international markets in order to enjoy accelerated international growth later in 2013 and into 2014.
Shares of Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: ADBE), a diversified software company, rose sharply in trading today.
ADBE shares hit a 52-week high of $38.10 in trading today before ending the day 5.71% higher at $37.56 on above average volume of 17.45 million.
ADBE shares rallied in trading today after the company reported better-than-expected earnings for the fourth quarter. The company also reported record quarterly revenue.
