Shares of ParkerVision Inc. (NASDAQ: PRKR), a designer, developer and seller of radio frequency technologies and products for use in semiconductor circuits for wireless communication products, have risen sharply in trading today.
At last check, PRKR shares were trading 7.53% higher at $3 on volume of 1.01 million. The stock touched a new 52-week high of $3.04 in trading today. It has now gained more than 26% in the last three trading sessions.
ParkerVision reported its most recent quarterly results (Q1) back in May. The Jacksonville, Florida-based company reported a net loss of $4.1 million, or $0.06 per share for the first quarter of 2012, compared to a net loss of $3.4 million, or $0.06 per share reported for the same period in 2011.
The increase in net loss was due to a $0.7 million increase in operating expenses arising mainly from litigation expenses.
