Shares of Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. (OTC: LBSR), an exploration-stage company focused on the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties in the states of Arizona and Alaska, are seeing a huge rally in trading today.
LBSR shares are currently trading 54.96% higher at $0.0375 on above average volume of 5.86 million. The stock has now gained more than 94% in the last three trading sessions.
Liberty Star shares are soaring today after the company announced the receipt of updated, geophysical ZTEM electromagnetic imagery of the south block of its Big Chunk Super Project in southeastern Alaska.
LBSR said that the resolution of the imaging of the original data gives the company a much more accurate picture of what is present at depth. James Briscoe, CEO of Liberty Star, said that ZTEM technology has improved since 2009 when the processed survey was first presented to the company and LBSR will use the information to draw detailed plans for drilling at the Big Chunk as soon as possible.
