Liquidmetal Technologies Inc. (OTC: LQMT) shares are down sharply in trading today. The stock is currently trading 5.40% lower at $0.263 on volume of 1.61 million. It touched an intra-day low of $0.25 in trading today.
Liquidmetal Technologies, which is engaged in the development, manufacturing and marketing of products made from amorphous alloys, recently announced that it entered into an agreement with Visser Precision Cast LLC (VPC). Visser Precision is a subsidiary of Furniture Row LLC.
Under the terms of the agreement, Visser Precision will provide mold and manufacturing technologies to LQMT and its Certified Liquidmetal Partners. Visser will ensure that LQMT’s customers are provided with high-quality products and support services on a consistent basis.
Thomas Steipp, President and CEO of Liquidmetal Technologies, said that both companies’ achievements exemplify a deep commitment to quality and cutting edge technologies. Steipp said that LQMT believes that the agreement with Visser represents the final link in the company’s ability to provide commercially produced Liquidmetal parts to its customer base.
