Shares of Digital Utilities Ventures Inc. (PINK: DUTV), an innovator in Internet Protocol video transport systems, are soaring in trading today after the company announced that it finalized merger talks to acquire 100% of TORQ Communications LLC.
DUTV shares are currently trading 33.33% higher at $0.0028 on above average volume of 105.82 million. The stock is up 141.67% in the last three trading sessions.
Garry McHenry, CEO of Digital Utilities Ventures, said that the merged company will provide DUTV with a financially strong, customer-focused telecommunications partner as it combines the idea of DUTV being a true digital utility company.
TORQ, which was incorporated in 2008, has experience in data networking and traditional telephony building, as well as in implementing business-grade Voice over IP services.
