Micro-Cap in Focus; Augme Technologies Inc. (AUGT)

Shares of Augme Technologies Inc. (OTC: AUGT), a provider of strategic services and mobile marketing technology to leading consumer and healthcare brands, are climbing in trading today.

At last check, AUGT shares were trading 4.17% higher at $1.75 on above average of 394,864. The stock gained more than 11% in the last three trading sessions.

Earlier this week, AUGT announced that it signed an agreement with Voice Assist® Inc. to jointly develop and market mobile advertising for the Voice Assist service.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will jointly market the capability to mobile carriers, consumer brands, media outlets, retail and other industry sectors.

Paul Arena, CEO of Augme Technologies, said that as mobile advertising continues to grow, advertisers are becoming increasingly more interested in targeting mobile consumers with location-based offers. Arena said that the capability AUGT provides enables a localized service response that, when combined with voice recognition technology of Voice Assist, will help create a unique, mobile application-based voice advertising platform.
