Shares of HyperSolar Inc. (PINK: HYSR), developer of a breakthrough technology to produce renewable hydrogen using sunlight and any source of water, surged in trading today.
HYSR shares ended the day 17.19% higher at $0.0375 on above average volume of 4.85 million. The stock has now gained more than 33% in the last three trading sessions.
HyperSolar shares rose today after the company announced completion of an end-to-end laboratory scale demonstration using renewable hydrogen produced from sunlight and water to generate electricity in a fuel cell.
Tim Young, CEO of HyperSolar, said that the simplicity of the laboratory demonstration exemplifies the elegant and easy use of HYSR’s low cost, self-contained renewable hydrogen production particles. Young said that HYSR is in discussions with potential partners about building larger demonstration systems that will produce renewable hydrogen for electricity generation, as well as hydrogen car fueling stations.
